Spectrum Makes a Splash: Painting the Path to a Healthier Ocean
Spectrum Makes a Splash: Painting the Path to a Healthier Ocean was a three-month-long art exhibit where clients created four mixed-media murals focused on ocean conservation, pollution, recycling, and marine life. Clients learned and applied various artistic techniques, such as layering, texturing, and incorporating found objects, to visually address the ocean crisis and the impact of sustainable practices. Through collaboration, clients gained valuable skills while conveying a powerful environmental message about transforming polluted waters into pristine ecosystems. The project culminated in month-long exhibitions at three Middlesex County libraries, where clients shared their artistic journey and raised awareness about ocean health. These exhibitions provided clients with a platform to interact with the community, furthering the impact of their artwork. By the end of the project, clients had enhanced their artistic abilities, improved life skills, and developed a deeper understanding of environmental issues.
