Spectrum of Artists: Painting the Disability Picture

1

Spectrum of Artists: Painting the Disability Picture was a three-month long art exhibit with pieces created by Spectrum for Living clients. This artistic exhibition was an exercise in self-empowerment and self-expression, where clients had the opportunity to identify their subject matter and mirror the image through their individual lens. From self-portraits to landscapes, and object of importance, clients had the autonomy to identify their subjects and reinvented them in an authentic way that highlighted their own individual stories and interpretations. Pieces were created through a mixed-media approach of photography, drawing, and painting.

Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners. Through a grant award from the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund.
