Investors Foundation to Support Spectrum for Living’s Client Transportation System
Spectrum for Living and Investor’s Foundation are entering 2022 with a continued partnership. Investor’s Foundation will support Spectrum for Living through a capacity-building transportation grant providing vital maintenance and upgrades to Spectrum for Living’s van transportation system.
“Our alliance with the Spectrum for Living organization began more than a decade ago,” said Investors Bank Chairman & CEO Kevin Cummings. “We have assisted the nonprofit by providing grants and our colleagues have volunteered their time to support the organization’s many activities,” explained Cummings. “
As a leading nonprofit organization serving upwards of 1,000 adults with disabilities across Bergen, Passaic, and Middlesex counties, Spectrum for Living is continuously faced with the need for safety renovations, maintenance, and capital improvements across its 27 facilities.
“We rely heavily on our van fleet to safely transport our many clients between day programs, personal appointments, and recreational events,” shared Christopher Perry, President and CEO of Spectrum for Living. “We must continually ensure that our vans are ready to accommodate the needs of our clients, who rely upon our vans as their primary method of transportation.”
Funding from Investor’s Foundation will support van detailing, restoration, and adaptive accommodations, including: lifts, seatbelt extenders, oil changes, battery replacements, interior updates, and more. The upgrades will increase the quality and longevity of the vans and will allow Spectrum to transport more clients throughout the communities it serves.
“Our relationship with Investor’s Bank and Foundation is growing and evolving in an effort to make a larger impact on our clients and in the communities we serve” added Perry. “As a recent Care to Share program participant, we are excited to partner with Investors through their impactful affinity program.”
