Spectrum for Living Announces 2024 Gala: “Advocacy to Action: A Blueprint for Family, Partnership, and Purpose”
Spectrum for Living is thrilled to announce its 2024 Gala, “Advocacy to Action: A Blueprint for Family, Partnership, and Purpose,” scheduled for Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Macaluso’s in Hawthorne, New Jersey. This year’s gala will honor Mary and John Capazzi, along with RSC Architects, for their steadfast support and dedication to Spectrum for Living.
“Our 2024 Gala, ‘Advocacy to Action: A Blueprint for Family, Partnership, and Purpose,’ is a momentous occasion to celebrate our distinguished Honorees, who have made a profound impact on the lives of the more than 1,000 clients we serve,” said Christopher Perry, President & CEO of Spectrum for Living. “We are excited to recognize Mary and John Capazzi and RSC Architects for their significant contributions to improving the lives of our clients.”
Mary and John Capazzi have been integral to the organization since its early days in the 1980s. Mary’s brother resides in a Spectrum for Living group home, which was designed by RSC Architects. Mary is currently involved with the Spectrum for Living Sibling Group, which focuses on organizing fundraising events to support the Recreation Team.
RSC Architects has been a crucial partner for over 20 years, with John Capazzi serving as President and CEO and Mary serving in an administrative capacity. Their dedication is evident through their sponsorship of Spectrum for Living’s Annual Golf Outing and Family 5K, Walk, and Doggie Dash. Recently, RSC supported the Sipping for Spectrum Hoboken Bar Crawl, led by the Capazzis’ daughter, Michelle Capazzi. Notably, RSC Architects also designed Spectrum for Living’s Bergenfield Group Home, transforming a single-family residence into a fully supervised group home with private bedrooms and ADA-accessible bathrooms.
Mary and John Capazzi are honored to be recognized, expressing their deep appreciation for Spectrum for Living’s mission and services. They value the organization’s comprehensive care, client autonomy, recreational programs, and the support offered to the families of clients. They hold the organization and its dedicated staff in high regard for their unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care.
“Advocacy to Action: A Blueprint for Family, Partnership, and Purpose” will welcome over 200 guests and will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, and a formal program. Attendees will enjoy a photo booth, casino night, auction, 50/50 raffle, a signature Spectrum for Living cocktail, and the opportunity to connect with friends and supporters.
Generously supported by RSC Architects; Spectrum for Living Endowment; Woodhaven Lumber & Millwork; Hub International Limited; American Properties Realty; S.T. Construction Co., Inc.; Gilsanz, Murray & Steficek, LLP Engineers and Architects; Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy; Tom’s Service Center; French & Parrello Associates; and many other organizations, the Spectrum for Living Gala offers businesses a meaningful opportunity to support adults living with developmental disabilities.
