River Vale, New Jersey – Spectrum for Living and the Greater Bergen Realtors® Care Foundation are jumping into 2022 with a continued community partnership. The REALTORS Care Foundation will support Spectrum for Living through a life-improving roof replacement at their Highwood Group Home in Glen Rock, New Jersey.

“We are pleased to give back to our communities and these terrific organizations like Spectrum for Living, said Maureen Mamunes, President, Realtors® Care Foundation.  This roof replacement project perfectly aligns with our mission to aid with food, clothing education, and in this case, shelter to those who need it the most.”

Opened in 1998, the Highwood Group Home serves 6 adults living with developmental disabilities. Each resident has a private bedroom and shares the kitchen, living room, and bathroom with their housemates.

“Clients served in our Highwood Group Home receive the full range of wraparound services, including clinical care, recreational programs, and opportunities for personal development,” said Christopher Perry, President, and CEO of Spectrum for Living. “We are thrilled to be able to partner with the REALTORS Care Foundation, and the roof replacement that this grant provides is a much-needed improvement that will help to keep our clients safe.”

As a leading nonprofit organization serving upwards of 1,000 clients across Bergen, Passaic, and Middlesex counties, Spectrum for Living is continuously faced with the need for safety renovations, maintenance, and capital improvements across their 27 facilities. Funding from the Greater Bergen Realtors® Care Foundation will support a full demolition, weather shield installation, and new ridge vents, shingles, and roof underlay.
