Representatives from Spectrum for Living (“SFL”) had the pleasure of meeting today with Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle (D. – 37th District, Bergen County). At that time, we shared with her the scope and breadth of services that SFL offers its adult disabled clients at more than 29 of our specialized facilities located throughout the State of New Jersey. We also shared with the Assemblywoman our concern regarding the lack of a direct service provider wage increase for the past nine years and our concerns with the new state-mandated fee-for-service system. Assemblywoman Huttle listened and shared with us some possible solutions to our concerns.

We are most thankful to Assemblywoman Huttle; her Chief of Staff, Alexandra Acosta; and her Legislative Director, Jessica Schwartz, for hosting our visit.
